Oberlin, Ohio

Professional local government managers work to build communities we’re proud to call home.

In 2012, Ohio Magazine selected Oberlin as the “best hometown” in Northeast Ohio. The magazine cited the community’s historic landmarks and architecture, quaint shopping and galleries, and sense of community.

In addition to being a great place to call home, Oberlin, OH, (pop. 8,251) is also an award winner for its economic development programs.

In the past four years, Oberlin City Manager Eric Norenberg has accepted two other awards on behalf of the city: in 2010, for attracting a solar energy company and, in 2013, when a major biomedical company decided to remain in Oberlin rather than relocating.
