The Municipal Management Association of Northern California (MMANC) has scheduled its 2010 annual conference in San José October 15-17, immediately prior to ICMA’s conference. Under the theme “Leading through Uncertainty—Navigating the New Normal,” the MMANC conference will feature sessions focusing on local government finance and budget, economic development, communications, organizational development, and multicultural/generational issues. For more details about the program, visit www.mmanc.org.

MMANC and ICMA are partnering to offer a substantial discount to non-CAO local government employees who attend both conferences. Any non-CAO local government employee, regardless of title, location, or membership status in either organization, can register for both the MMANC and ICMA conferences for only $800 (through July 30; $850 through September 10; $900 after September 10).

Non-CAO local government employees who are ICMA members may take advantage of these additional discounts, if eligible:

  • $300 discount for ICMA Affiliate Members with 3 years or fewer as a member
  • $200 discount for ICMA members (all categories) in ICMA's West Coast membership region attending their first conference
  • $100 ICMA Economic Crisis E-Debit Card

Non-CAO local government employees who are not ICMA members and join when they register for the conferences will receive a full year of ICMA membership discounted by 50% and can claim eligible member discounts on conference registration fees.  New members will also receive a $100 ICMA Economic Crisis E-Debit Card to use for future membership renewal, ICMA Annual Conference registration, or ICMA University events through June 30, 2011.
