The Director of Human Resources is a key member of the City’s Leadership Team. The position is responsible for providing leadership and establishing strategic and operational direction in all aspects of human resources for the organization, with primary management accountability for human resources staff and risk management. The department includes the Human Resources Director, three Sr. HR Business Partners, a HR Business Partner and a Risk Manager. The operating budget for the department is $2 million. The department’s functions include recruitment, benefits administration, employee recognition and engagement, training and development, performance management, risk management, and employee relations. The City recently launched an NEOGOV HRIS system and works closely with the Finance Department.
