This is an exceptional opportunity for an accomplished municipal executive to lead one of Southeast Los Angeles County's most dynamic and culturally rich communities. The City of Bell Gardens seeks a visionary, collaborative, and results-oriented City Manager to guide the City through its next chapter of growth, innovation, and community investment.
The City seeks candidates with a Bachelor's degree in public administration, business administration, finance, or a related field, and a minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in municipal government, including five (5) years of management and administrative experience. Spanish-speaking ability is highly desirable. Prior City Manager or Assistant City Manager experience is preferred. Possession of a Master’s Degree in a related field is highly desirable.
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and effective leader who can balance long-range vision with day-to-day operational excellence. Bell Gardens is seeking a professional with strong experience in municipal finance, budgeting, revenue diversification, economic development, organizational leadership, and community engagement. The successful candidate will possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, political acumen, sound judgment, and a commitment to transparency, accountability, and exceptional public service.

Compensation: $316,380 annually DOQ*, plus an attractive executive benefits package.
*A mutually agreeable employment agreement will be negotiated dependent on qualifications and experience.
