Reporting to the County Executive, the Assistant County Executive plays a pivotal role in advancing community priorities, supporting countywide initiatives, and ensuring seamless operations that improve the lives of residents every day.
As the second-in-command to the County Executive, you will:
- Provide high-level support to the County Executive and the Board of Supervisors.
- Strengthen partnerships and alignment of the County’s vision with that of the Board of Supervisors, department heads, community leaders, and regional stakeholders.
- Lead the development and implementation of the County Executive’s initiatives and special projects.
- Oversee strategic planning, community engagement, and programming for key County programs and projects.
- Drive innovation and results in a complex public service environment.
- Act as the CEO in the County Executive’s absence.
Key priorities
- Improve life outcomes of children, families and seniors in the community.
- Prepare for wildfires, earthquakes and floods.
- Address workforce housing.
- Strengthen County’s capacity to adapt to shifting economic and fiscal landscapes.
