Assistant City Manager

The City of St. Cloud is seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking Assistant City Manager to join our Executive Team. Under the direction of the City Manager, this role provides strategic leadership, executive-level guidance, and administrative direction to advance citywide goals and initiatives. As a key leader and change agent, you will help shape the future of our growing community by overseeing departments, leading projects, and driving the successful implementation of the City’s strategic plan.

The Assistant City Manager will:
• Support the City Manager’s vision of a responsive, accessible, and efficient workforce.
• Collaborate across departments to deliver excellent customer service to residents and colleagues.
• Represent the City Manager as needed at City Council meetings, civic gatherings, and other official functions.
• Serve as a trusted leader who motivates teams to achieve meaningful outcomes for the community.
Schedule: Standard hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with evening and weekend work required for Council meetings, workshops, and community events.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Master's degree in Public Administration or related field required, supplemented by three (3) years' experience of municipal Director level work (Florida municipal Director experience preferred); or possession of any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides requisite knowledge, skills and abilities.
Must possess and maintain a valid state of Florida driver’s license.
