ASST DIRECTOR OF IT - INFRASTRUCTURE

The City of North Richland Hills is seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant Director of Information Technology - Infrastructure to help lead and advance the City’s technology services. Reporting directly to the IT Director, this role provides strategic and hands-on leadership in managing the City’s technology infrastructure, including networks, servers, telecommunications, access control, and video surveillance systems.
The Assistant Director will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of critical systems that support all City departments—including Police and Fire. This position also supervises IT staff, manages infrastructure budgets, implements best practices and policies, and collaborates with City employees to deliver responsive and innovative technology services.

What We're Looking For
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field from an accredited university.
Experience: 5–7 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership or management role. Strong background in managing networks, servers, and enterprise technologies. Municipal or public sector experience preferred.
Certifications: CCNP, CISSP, ITIL, VCP strongly preferred.
Other Requirements: Must pass an FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check, as well as a drug screen. Valid Texas Class C Driver’s License required.
