The City of DeKalb, Illinois is seeking a Senior Management Analyst to join our team! The Senior Management Analyst provides a variety of professional and technical support to the City Manager, Public Works Director, City Engineer, and Transit Division. This position assists with the overall departmental workflow and process improvement including analysis of data, generation and presentation of reports, budget, and grants/contract administration. The Senior Management Analyst will perform skilled research and analysis as well as complete special projects as assigned.

The position of Senior Management Analyst is assigned to the City Manager’s Office and is under the direct supervision of the City Manager. The position is required to work a minimum of forty hours per week. This position routinely handles highly sensitive and/or confidential information. This position will experience contact with the City Manager, Director of Financial Services, other internal staff members, outside agencies, and the community at-large.

We require a high school diploma or equivalent. An associate’s degree from an accredited community college in Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred. A minimum of three years of experience in project administration, data and research analysis, policy administration, budgeting, financial reporting or a closely related field. Prior experience within municipal government administration, construction-in-progress accounting, and/or grant administration preferred.

Starting Salary Range: $77,414 - $94,832 annually dependent on qualifications. The full salary range for this position is $77,414 - $112,097.
