The Village of Elmsford, New York, is accepting applications for the position of Village Administrator.
Elmsford is a village in Westchester County, New York, United States. It is part of the New York metropolitan area. Roughly one square mile, the village is fully contained within the borders of the town of Greenburgh with a population of approximately 6,000 residents.
Most municipal services are provided by the village, including police, parks and recreation,
sanitation, public works, water, building, planning, fire services and EMS.
The administrator and mayor positions have been stable for years. The current administrator is retiring after 23 years in the position. The mayor has been in office for 22 consecutive years.
The village government consists of a five (5) member board of trustees including a mayor, with a total general fund budget of 19 million, a water fund budget of 2 million, a staff of approximately 55 full-time employees and 63 part-time and seasonal employees. The candidate should have excellent leadership and communication skills (written and oral),
knowledge of municipal finance, human resources, labor negotiations, community relations, information technology, experience interacting with elected and appointed officials, as well as the ability to work in a team environment. BA/BS degree required with a minimum of 5 years municipal management experience preferred.
The base salary is open and commensurate with background and experience with a range between $185,000 and $200,000.
