Human Resources Director

Beltrami County is creating an eligibility list for a full-time Human Resources Director. The successful applicant will direct and coordinate the day to day business of the Human Resources Department in accordance with policies and goals as determined by the County Board and County Administrator. Performs complex professional work planning, leading, coordinating, and directing the activities of the Human Resources Department for all County staff, developing and managing policies and procedures, ensuring legal compliance, overseeing risk management, and related work as apparent or assigned. Departmental supervision is exercised over all personnel within the department. Work is performed under the general direction of the County Administrator.
Salary range is $51.65 to $66.71 per hour. Placement depends on factors such as qualifications, internal equity, market conditions, and applicable policy guidelines.
Education and Experience
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree with coursework in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Public Administration, or a related field.
OR
A combination of education and work experience may qualify: Eight years of related work experience in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or Public Administration may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree OR four years of related work experience and an Associate’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management or a related field may be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree.
AND
Three years or more of work experience in Human Resource Management.
Three years or more of supervisory experience.
Valid MN driver’s license.
