Finance Director
City of Maryville, MO
Description: Under the supervision of the City Manager and City Council, the Finance Director is an exempt position that performs responsible accounting, finance, and managerial duties for the entire City operations. This professional position will plan, direct, manage and oversee the financial operation and reporting of all city funds, including budget, audit, cash management, debt management, utility rate structure, and compliance with applicable laws and accounting standards. The position participates in the formulation and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the administration to provide highly responsible and complex administrative support to the City Manager and elected officials.
Qualifications: Minimum-
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3–5 years of municipal or related financial management experience
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills
• Passion for public service and community impact
Preferred-
• CPA or Certified Public Finance Officer designation
• 6-10 years of municipal or related financial management experience
