The Town of Campton, NH (approx. pop 3,300) is accepting applications for the position of Town Administrator. The Town Administrator acts as the Chief Administrative Officer for the Board of Selectmen and implements the orders and policies of the Board in accordance with all laws and Town rules, regulations, ordinances, policies, and procedures. Campton is located in the foothills of the beautiful White Mountains along the I-93 corridor just 45 minutes from Concord, an hour to Manchester and minutes to the Lakes Region. The area hosts tourists year-round for the many outdoor seasonal attractions.
With a traditional town meeting form of government and reporting to a five-member Board of Selectmen, the Town Administrator manages an efficient workforce and an operating budget of $6.2 million.
The minimum requirements of this job are a bachelor’s degree in public administration, finance, personnel management, organizational development, or related occupational field. Experience sufficient to understand the diverse objectives and functions of the position, usually interpreted to require six years of progressively responsible administrative and supervisory experience, preferably in municipal government; or any equivalent combination of education or experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Salary range to $125,000; starting salary commensurate with qualifications. The Town of Campton is an equal opportunity employer.
