The City of Moorpark is seeking a collaborative, emotionally intelligent, and service-oriented professional to serve as its next Assistant City Manager. As the City’s Chief Operating Officer, the ACM partners closely with the City Manager to lead Human Resources, Risk Management, and the City Clerk’s Office, oversee major initiatives, and support a high-performing team.
The ideal candidate will bring a well-rounded municipal background, including experience in local government operations and project management, as well as familiarity with HR, development services, finance, and economic development. They will possess excellent communication skills, sound judgment, and a passion for public service. This is an outstanding opportunity for a hands-on leader who aspires to become a City Manager.
