The Village of Grafton is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of Public Works/Village Engineer with strong organizational and leadership skills to direct the operations of the Public Works and Engineering departments.

This position oversees the planning, development, and maintenance of public infrastructure which encompasses building maintenance, engineering, sanitation, recycling, storm sewers, environmental, streets and bridges, sidewalks, forestry, vehicle maintenance, snow and ice control, signal and street lighting, and other public works projects and programs. This leadership role is vital to ensuring the community's infrastructure meets the needs of residents and businesses while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, or a related field, from ABET accredited program
• Minimum of five (5) years experience in public works and/or engineering
• Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience
• Must be registered as Professional Engineer in the State of Wisconsin
• Must reside within twenty (20) miles of the Village of Grafton boundaries after hire (timeframe is negotiable; relocation expense reimbursement is available)

The current pay range for this position is $106,139 to $122,080 annually, depending on qualifications. Employees can anticipate a cost-of-living adjustment in addition to a length of service adjustment annually. Final candidate should anticipate an extensive background check and be able to pass a physical exam and drug test.
