Administrative Services Director

Nestled at the northern end of the Peninsula, 11 miles south of San Francisco, is the small community of Colma (pop 1,700). Covering 2.2 square miles, Colma is the smallest city in San Mateo County and enjoys a strong tax base with two shopping centers and a wide collection of car dealerships. The Administrative Services Director position provides an opportunity to lead a talented team of 7 that provides high-quality support services to all City departments.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced local government professional with broad administrative skills and depth in municipal financial management. This hands-on director will enjoy working in a dynamic environment providing responsive service. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, along with a flexible approach, will be critical in this role.

Ideal candidates will have 5 years of increasingly responsible administrative experience along with a Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration or a related field.
