The Historic Triangle Recreational Facilities Authority (HTRFA) is looking for a part-time Executive Director to manage its day-to-day operations and carry out its vision for enhancing the Greater Williamsburg area's appeal as a premier recreational destination.

The position will have the specific responsibility for:
1. Collaborating with local, regional, national, private, and public-private organizations and event groups to enhance and create sports and other events that benefit regional revenues, local businesses, and communities, while managing related contracts and leases.
2. Initiating, planning, implementing, and reviewing new facility plans.
3. Working with partners to review domestic and international marketing programs for
targeted expansion of the HTRFA’s visibility as a destination location for sports and events of all sizes.
4. Monitoring the marketing, growth, and progression of increased sports tourism and events.
5. Building and maintaining strong working relationships with the Historic Triangle Recreational Facilities Authority jurisdiction’s governing bodies, chief administrative officers, appointed staff, local and regional stakeholders, and partners for adequate growth and retention of sports and events.
6. Partnering with Visit Williamsburg and Virginia Tourism to promote sports and events at HTRFA facilities.
7. Managing related contracts and maintenance requirements for all HTRFA assets and properties.
8. Developing and managing the approved budget and day-to-day operations of the board and staff of the Authority.
9. Serving as the liaison between the HTRFA Board, its contractors, and Parks and Recreation staff of all three jurisdictions.
