Town Manager

Ashland, NH (1,900 approx. pop) is seeking its next Town Manager. This quintessential New England community is the gateway to the White Mountains and offers easy access to Squam Lake and I-93. Ashland is governed by a 5-member Select Board and the Town Manager oversees a $3.5 million municipal operating budget, town-owned electric utility and water & sewer utility with 21 FT employees.

To be considered for this role you must have economic development experience, excellent written and verbal communication skills, be tech savvy, fluent in grant writing, and the ability to be transparent with and successfully manage the town's budget. We're looking for a dynamic Town Manager who is driven, open to new ideas, and willing to put in the work to take the community to the next level.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and/or a Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, or related field and a minimum of five (5) years of experience as a municipal manager or administrator. An equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may also be considered. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and professional experience, not to exceed $120,000.
