The Community Alliance for Main Street (CAMS) is seeking an Executive Director to play a pivotal role in advancing the downtown mission of CAMS to Advocate, Create, and Enhance Heber City's downtown. The ideal candidate will know about community development and have a passion for Heber City, involving coordinating activities within the downtown commercial district revitalization with historic preservation as a foundational element for downtown economic development. The collaboration and the ability to create strategic partnerships to accomplish the goals of CAMS is critical.

The Executive Director (ED) of Community Alliance for Main Street leads the overall planning and operations of the organization and performs supervisory and administrative work, reporting directly to the Community Alliance for Main Street Board of Directors (BOD.) Community Alliance for Main Street is a nonprofit 501c3 organization.

Heber City and CAMS seek to build, operate, and maintain a community gathering area at Main Street Park. The Executive Director directs the development, programming, financial management, operations, volunteer management, and community relations, representing the community at the local, regional, and national level of marketing for Community Alliance for Main Street and the Main Street Plaza (MSP.)

This position serves as the primary liaison to and from CAMS staff, the Board of Directors, the City of Heber City, the Chamber of Commerce, volunteers, sponsors/funders, event vendors, along with patrons of the Main Street Plaza and downtown Heber City coordinating the activities and ensuring effective communication among community organizations.

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR COMMUNITY ALLIANCE FOR MAIN STREET Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (i.e., urban planning, historic preservation, community development, hospitality & tourism) or equivalent experience four years of direct supervisory experience of a diverse team
Extensive knowledge of facility and event planning and management
Experience in strategic planning and project management.
Demonstrated fundraising success with excellent writing skills.
Experience in fiscal policy administration and budget management.
Proficient computer skills and knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs and financial software
Any equivalent combination of experience, education, and training that provides the knowledge, skills, or abilities necessary to perform the work.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills
A passion for historic preservation and downtown revitalization
Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug test.
Physical requirements: Work is primarily conducted in a second-floor office environment as well as an outdoor event venue and downtown area. Regular sitting, standing, walking, reaching, lifting, and occasional carrying up to 50 pounds is required. Regular visual and oral communication is required.
