The City of Cripple Creek is situated about an hour West of Colorado Springs in a historic mining community just behind Pikes Peak and offering beautiful views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range. A community of around 1,200, Cripple Creek is one of three gaming communities in Colorado, enabling a heavy focus on Historic Preservation. Under the direction of the Director, this position is a generalist and working leader that expertly performs the duties associated with land use planning and zoning, building inspecting and permitting and economic development.
