County Administrator

County of Highlands, FL

Stretched across the rolling hills of Central Florida’s ridge and lake country, Highlands County offers its residents a safe, affordable, and family-friendly slice of the Sunshine State. The county is home to approximately 106,650 residents spread across 1,029 square miles in a mix of unincorporated communities as well as the cities of Avon Park and Sebring and the Town of Lake Placid. Appointed by and serving at the pleasure of the Highlands County Board of County Commissioners, the County Administrator acts as the County’s Chief Administrative Officer. The successful candidate for this role will work closely with the Board to provide quality services, programs, and information to the more than 100,000 residents who call Highlands County home, managing day-to-day operations with a commitment to sustainable growth, economic development, infrastructure investment, and fiscal responsibility.
