Join experts from SHRM and IPMA-HR as they discuss workforce policy issues related to the pandemic and the vaccine.

While initial distribution of COVID-19 vaccines provided a glimmer of light at the end of 2020, they too added to the headaches around how to adapt employee policies around this development. Coupled with recent surges in cases prompting localities and schools to roll back reopening measures and tighten restrictions, as well as the latest changes in federal relief, it is clear that local government leaders, along with their staffs and their households/families, must continue to operate in a highly agile and decentralized environment. And they must do so despite very real fatigue across the organization, regardless of direct exposure to the virus.

On January 13, ICMA will offer a free webinar in which experts from the Society for Human Resource Management and the International Public Management Association for Human Resources will discuss workforce policy issues related to the pandemic and the vaccine. They’ll share insights into the latest and most frequently asked questions among ICMA members and their own networks of human resource professionals.

Speakers:

  • Amber Clayton, Knowledge Center Director, SHRM

  • Cara Woodson Welch, Executive Director, IPMA-HR
