Join this 60-minute Q&A session for details about the 2024 cohort opportunity.

Growing Local Government Leadership for Economic Mobility and Opportunity

With the continued support from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, ICMA offers resources and learning opportunities on boosting upward mobility in local communities.

The centerpiece of this program is a peer learning cohort for a select group of highly motivated ICMA members. This information session will provide an overview of ICMA's Economic Mobility and Opportunity initiative, describe the purpose of the 2024 cohort and application process, and provide an opportunity to ask questions.

ICMA invites applications for the Economic Mobility and Opportunity Cohort through May 10.

Participants in the cohort:

  • Will be eligible to receive a grant of up to $20,000 for their local government for the implementation of an economic mobility assessment, planning or engagement process, or other local activity as part of their participation in the cohort.
  • Participate in virtual and in-person learning opportunities (travel expenses covered).
  • Network with other local government professionals.
  • Access resources and support from economic mobility experts.

Join us for a 60-minute Q&A session, on Friday, April 26 at 1:00 PM ET, to learn more about this cohort opportunity.

Find more information about the Economic Mobility and Opportunity initiative and access the cohort application at icma.org/emo.
