Facing a serious reduction in revenue, the city of Livermore, CA worked to change the way they did business. The project, Transforming Livermore 2010 was created to prepare the community for the type of long-term changes that would be necessary to succeed during the economic downturn. Their plan includes streamlining operations, increasing volunteerism, taking on sustainability initiatives, improving information technology, and selling services outside the city.
