School students in the country of Georgia were invited to participate in a competition promoting recycling and waste reduction by creating crafts out of recycled household waste and submitting photos. Fifty students from 22 schools participated, and this document presents some of the winning entries—those judged to be most original, innovative, and artistic. A bonus for winners was an opportunity to attend a summer “eco-camp” in August 2014. The activities were carried out by the Waste Management Technology in Regions Program, conducted under ICMA’s USAID-funded CityLinks program.
