The Manatee Millennial Movement was formed in February, 2015. Millennial professionals, with the support of county administration, created the Manatee Millennial Movement (M3). The group’s first task was to identify barriers to the lack of affordable/workforce housing in Manatee County and to create a set of solutions to improve access and affordability of housing for young professionals. The second objective was to plan and host an impactful event, #iSeeManatee, integrating creative and interactive placemaking into a charrette that brought the needs of the community to the forefront.
