The town of Barnstable has a comprehensive sustainability program and town leadership that champion renewable energy.   This case study highlights how the town amended the zoning codes to facilitate solar development, installed various solar projects on public facilities and worked with the Cape & Vineyard Electric Cooperative, Inc. to design, finance and operate renewable energy projects.
