This program brochure is part of a large gang prevention effort that coordinates police, social services, churches, the court system, and schools from Fairfax County, VA and the City of West Springfield, VA. Municipal employees and police officers work directly with young people, ages 11 to 14, in a summer camp setting, teaching them skills to resist gangs, violence, and drugs; promoting public service careers, and introducing them to police and municipal programs.
