The city of San Antonio, Texas, Project HOPE was nominated to the 2005 ICMA Annual Awards Program. The city of San Antonio's Department of Community Initiatives entered into a public-private partnership with a local food bank to initiate the Health Program for the Elderly (HOPE) Project enhancing food security for low-income seniors residing in the city. With the help of center managers and site volunteers, project HOPE served over 4,000 local seniors.
