On February 1, 2005, the Menlo Park City Council voted to rollover the 2004-05 budget into 2005-06 and devote the next year to developing the 2006-07 budget from the ground up. This comprehensive approach to build a Priority Driven Budget is necessary in order to solve a $2.9 million budget shortfall, and bring the City's revenues and expenses back into balance.
