The City of Richardson, Texas Public Library partnered with the Mexican Institute of Adult Education, the Mexican Consulate Offices of Dallas, and the Richardson Independent School District to create, Plaza Comunitaria. It is volunteer-based adult literacy program for local native Spanish-speakers. They provide assistance for those pursuing basic adult education, first in their native language and then moving on to GED and ESL classes.
