In 2004, the City of Mississauga changed from a City with lots of open space to one with infill development and aging infrastructure. The City Council and staff then developed an organizational plan called Moving Forward to help the City navigate the pending changes. Moving Forward is based on four priorities: building a city for the 21st century, building a sustainable business plan, continuing to be an employer of choice, and focusing on leadership.
