This model energy ordinance was put together by the Oregon Department of Energy in 2005 to assist local governments in search of guidance while developing and site-planning for energy projects. In addition to a model ordinance, which covers the standards, exemptions and permitting process, there are also chapters on siting issues, statewide planning goals the Energy Facility Siting Council and the Oregon Water Resources Commission. An excellent example for local government professionals both within Oregon and without.
