This article explores the issue of fairness concerning management audits from two perspectives. First, it explains the standpoint of a city manager who has recently completed an audit of her city organization. Secondly, it discusses the viewpoint of a consultant and former city manager who has prepared numerous management audits for government clients and also has used this tool in other organizations he has managed.
