Iowa Governor Thomas J. Vilsack signed the Uniform Environmental Covenants Act (UECA)(SF 375) into law on May 4, 2005. This uniform act establishes a standardized environmental land use controls (LUCs) law for states to adopt in order to overcome LUC enforcement problems inherent in common law.
