With the leadership of the General Manager, Hornsby Shire Council created an Environmental Division to promote sustainability and manage natural resources. The Environmental Division’s accomplishments include: recruiting personnel with sustainability expertise, improving environmental awareness inside the organization, and combining ecological and hazard reduction to effective manage water quality, bushlands, parks, waste and fire hazards.
