The Village of Hoffman Estates, IL adopted the “Growing to Greenness” program as a way to compliment their village motto, “Growing to Greatness”. They created a Green Initiatives Commission comprised of volunteers. Together the commission worked with government staff to develop green education programs, services, and activities that residents and businesses could participate in.
