Recently, the City of Richmond CA finished renovating an enormous swimming pool from 1926 as a sustainable enterprise. The pool, named the Richmond Plunge, implements a wide variety of green technologies and principles in its new form, and might prove to be the model of pools constructed in the future. The attached document is a press release from one of the organizations involved in the lengthy renovation process, and has some interesting insights into the process and methods of making an old pool new again, but also green.
