John Pendergrass from the Environmental Law Institute, gave this presentation during the session "Avoiding Future Shock: Long Term Solutions for Brownfields" which was held at the Brownfields 2004 Conference in St. Louis, Missouri. The presentation highlights the results from a joint study of IC costs conducted by the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) and Resource for the Future (RFF). The framework in the study looks at the labor, materials, and overall costs of setting up, implementing, and enforcing ICs at brownfields sites. Included in the presentation is a helpful worksheet for local governments and communities to keep track of IC costs.
