This is a project, compiled by students in Penn State University's Master of Public Administration (MPA) program. In this research report, the students will: provide an overview of e-government and e-governance; review the main uses and users of e-government; outline some of the ways e-government can assist organizations in improving overall performance and gaining a competitive advantage; identify the impact e-government has on the public sector, specifically the local, state, and federal levels of government and within health organizations; and examine some of the goals, benefits, and challenges related to the use and implementation of e-government.
