The Durham Junior Leadership program offers high school youth the chance to develop leadership skills and foster self-confidence.  The kids have the chance to see various local government careers first-hand and volunteer in their communities.  The students shadow a local government employee, including the chance for hands-on experience.  The program is affordable and the students have described it as "life-changing."
