This article discusses how small communities in the Dinosaur Diamond region of western Colorado and eastern Utah have used their heritage and natural assets to expand economic opportunity through the promotion of paleontological resources and the protection and preservation of historical assets. Discusses ways to build sustainable tourism, promote heritage tourism, and forge successful regional partnerships.
