The City of Olathe partnered with the University of Kansas to deliver a leadership training program to city supervisors.  The curriculum was customized to reflect the city's priorities and its employee evaluation systems, as well as concerns raised by both employees and citizens.

As a result, supervisors and employees both felt that supervisors were more effective in the workplace as a result of the training, and ratings of trainees have risen.

This case study was nominated for ICMA's Annual Awards Program.
