Seeing that San Antonio has an 18.5% poverty rate and that 60% of workers in San Antonio earn less than $9 per hour, staff from the City of San Antonio created the Family Economic Success Program (FES). FES stresses financial education and focuses on Volunteer Income Tax Assistance, Individual Development Accounts, and Certified Housing Counseling.
