The City of O’Fallon engaged Siemens Industry, Inc., in 2010 to help improve the accuracy and reliability of its water meter reading system. The City of O’Fallon established the following goals for this project:

• Install more accurate, reliable water meters

• Improve the efficiency of water meter infrastructure and remove vehicles from the road

• Improve water billing customer service • Reduce the cost of reading water meters manually

• Drive additional revenue for the city
