This article describes the experience of assistants who exchanged positions in two Colorado communities and the benefits that followed. Describes the steps taken to prepare the two for the exchange, the job functions that each assumed, and the lessons learned. Concludes that this experience provided the assistants with a new enthusiasm and sense of renewal.
