This section of the California Hazardous Waste Control Statute provides the California Department of Toxic Substances Control (CDTSC) with the authority to require implementation of land use controls at hazardous waste facilities. Specifically, the statute authorizes CDTSC to require a property owner to implement property controls as a condition of an operating permit or grant of interim status for operation of a hazardous waste facility.
