This report discusses how the county of Chesterfield, Virginia, might prepare for a rapidly growing population of senior citizens, with emphasis on active and productive living. Suggests strategies of information, through a consolidated source of information on senior services and promotion of lifelong learning; independence, through recreation and exercise facilities, support for caregivers, and transportation alternatives; and involvement, through school volunteer programs, intergovernmental initiatives, and community centers.
