Successful partnerships between cities in India and cities in the United States have focused on issues as diverse as information management systems, solid waste management, tourism, and disaster preparedness and mitigation. The Urban Management Centre was also established in Ahmedabad to coordinate with ICMA’s programs and to provide technical advice, guidance, and resources to the staffs and boards of city managers' associations throughout the country.
