Many Villanova students are still celebrating their incredible win in the men’s NCAA basketball tournament (just look at that shot!), but the ICMA Student Chapter is back to work. Next Wednesday, April 20, they’ll be hosting a live-streamed panel discussion on career paths in local government. The guided conversation will explore the reasons why panel guests chose to serve in local government as well as recommendations for those interested in serving in the field.

The live-streamed discussion is open to the public and we strongly encourage you to share this info with individuals you believe might be interested. Life, Well Run is about inspiring the next generation to become professional local government managers, and this is a fantastic opportunity to share the value this career path can bring!

Titled Why Choose a Career in Local Government? the panel will be moderated by Villanova ICMA Student Chapter President Brandon Ford and will feature:

  • Gloria Wolek: Former Member (1979-2000) and President (1997-2000) of the Board of Commissioners of Lower Merion Township, PA
  • Drew Sharkey, Esq., MPA: Township Commissioner, Cheltenham Township, PA and current President of the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Commissioners
  • Sandra Brookley Zadell, MPA: Borough Manager, Chalfont, PA
  • Christopher Hoffman, MPA: Township Manager, Lower Moreland Township, PA
