Editing a profile on the Knowledge Network is even easier than creating your profile, if you can believe that. To edit your profile, just follow these steps:

  • Sign in to the Knowledge Network. Then click the "Edit Your Profile" button. From there you will see a series of tabs, which will look like this:

  • About You. In the “About You” section, you can change or add a profile picture and add basic personal information, such as language proficiency, and basic professional information, such as where you work.   • Contact (Work). This section allows you to add any contact information you would like others to have access to, such as a Twitter username, e-mail address, website, and mailing address.
  • Contact (Personal). This section allows you to add any additional contact information you would like to post, such as a personal e-mail address, home address, birthday, and spouse or partner. Additional information about both the work and personal contact sections may be found at http://icma.org/en/icma/knowledge_network/help/profile/contact_information.
  • Education: This section allows you to add information about your work history and education, such as the institute at which you received your degree(s) as well as its location. You can also edit the visibility settings of this information. More information about this section can be found at http://icma.org/en/icma/knowledge_network/help/profile/education_and_work_history.
  • Blog. This section gives you access to the settings and draft posts on your personal blog; it also shows you which blogs you can contribute to. The following link will provide you with more information about managing blog posts from your profile: http://icma.org/en/icma/knowledge_network/help/profile/blog.   • Interests & Groups. In this section you can add topics of interest or areas in which you consider yourself an expert. Providing this information is a great way to encourage knowledge sharing and to build relationships with other local government officials on this site.   • Preferences. Finally, this section allows you to manage your preferences regarding e-mails and notifications. You can decide how often and in what format you would like to receive e-mails.
